Arts for Health (Milton Keynes ) and Shenley Wood Village are working together to provide free art workshops for people with dementia and their carers. The workshops focus on painting and drawing. Materials are provided and no previous art experience is required.
The next eight week programme starts on Thursday 13 March. Workshops will take place weekly on Thursday mornings 10.30 -12.30 at Shenley Wood Village, Chalkdell Drive, Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK5 6GJ.

NHS England is working to establish an NHS Commitment for Carers, and Carers Trust has been involved in working with them on planning for this. They are undertaking a listening exercise for carers to feed into over the next 4 weeks, looking at what should be included in this commitment.
This is a real opportunity to build real impact for carers into NHS services for the future , and it would be great to have as many carers feeding into this as possible

The Rotary Club of Milton Keynes are holding their annual Swimathon on 8th March 2014 and Carers MK will this year be one of the beneficiaries. We have 2 teams of swimmers representing us already, but the Rotary Club are always happy for individuals to enter teams.
